The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions for the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering companies including new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency said it truly is alarmed regarding the high amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention from the Integrated Registration Outreach status sassa Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the higher amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office committed to service the area regularly.
